“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Ephesians 4:8 (KJV)

If we would just apply this verse to everything in our lives, what a difference it would make. There are so many unholy, unlovely and impure things in this world. It’s all around us. So it is so important that we don’t allow ourselves to dwell on the things that are contrary to the Word of God, so we don’t get caught up in those things we have no business even entertaining. We need to dwell on what is pure and lovely. And God’s word is the place to start.

We can also dwell on negative thinking towards others or ourselves and replace those thoughts with positive thoughts. Think life giving thoughts. You may be a product of our upbringing, but you don’t have to stay that way. God can bring about change in the way we think and in the way we live our lives. His word is truth, and Christ promises that truth will set us free and we will be free indeed!! As we dwell on what is true, pure, lovely, kind and gracious – it will transform us!

Whatsoever is true, honest, lovely and praise Him for His goodness!!
